Will iPhone 12 be cheaper?

Wistron, a big apple supplier, has started iPhone-12 productions in it’s Bengaluru plant. Does local production means cheaper iPhones? We’ll have to find out on September 10th,2020 (reports)

According to leaks the upcoming iPhone might change a lot of it’s exterior and look more like a bigger version of iPhone 5s.

As per reports, Wistron, Apple’s Taiwanese manufacturer will hire 10,000 local employees for the production of iPhone 12 in India.

  • Apple manufacturer Wistron will hire 10,000 employees for the local production of iPhone 12.
  • The company has already hired 2000 employees and will function from its plant in Narasapura in Karnataka.
  • The local production of iPhone SE is also slated to begin at the end of this year. It is not clear which product will be assembled in the manufacturing unit. However, reports in the past have stated that Wistron’s manufacturing units at its new plant in southern India will assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) for iPhones. (acc to indiatoday.in)

iPhone SE and iPhone XR were also made in India.
